After the 2010 earthquake

On Tuesday, January 12, 2010, Port-Au-Prince, Haiti was struck with a devastating 7.0 earthquake. Although our orphanage was not directly affected by the earthquake, many displaced Haitian families either fled to or were placed in Cap-Haitien, where Beth Chesed is. Within days of the earthquake, our orphanage tripled in capacity.
Members of congregation Mishkahn Dávid have traveled to Haiti numerous times since the earthquake to ensure that our children and families are safe and have enough food and supplies to survive.

Thank G-d that everyone is safe, and we are so grateful that many servants from the Messianic and Christian communities have extended help to us.

Thanks to your obedience to the Lord, we have been able to install electricity, build a well of filtered water, and ensure our 100 orphans and families have enough food and supplies.
